According to The Times, Manchester United will become the first team to play 6,000 matches as an English league club when they face Ipswich tonight.

They achieved their 6000th game in September 1892 when they played against Blackburn Rovers. Liverpool are 14 games behind, while Arsenal are 97 matches behind.
