Comedian Lee Kuk-joo has shared insights into his decision to live in Tokyo, Japan. During an episode of MBN's documentary series "Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3," which focused on street food culture, Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube invited Lee Kuk-joo and Park Kwang-jae for a special segment called "Eating Friends." In the conversation, Jeon asked Lee why he chose to live alone in Tokyo, to which Lee responded with a humorous twist, asking Jeon why he was in Korea. He added that some people simply do it because they feel like it.

Lee also explained that when he is on set, there are days when he works and others when he takes a break. However, he admitted that he is not the type of person who likes to take time off. He mentioned that he doesn't feel comfortable going on a trip to Japan if he has something to learn or work on. According to him, there is always a lot to do, so he prefers to stay busy.

He continued by saying, "When I go to Japan, I always ask myself, 'What should I do?' So I tried to film something, but the first video turned out to be very successful, and the work just kept coming in. That’s why I came back to Korea to work."

The Tokyo Vlog, which started as a way to keep himself occupied, received a positive response from viewers. Jeon nodded in agreement, stating that Japanese life had become a new source of content.

In April, Lee Kuk-joo moved to Tokyo and began living alone, taking on new routines and challenges. He recently revealed a studio apartment that spans about 9 pyeong. In a previous video, he mentioned that he is 40 years old and approaching his 20th anniversary.
